Our Hospitality Skills course is designed to give you the practical skills and experience to work in cafes and restaurants across the hospitality industry.

If you are 15 years to 19 years of age, left or leaving school, then we can help you get your NZQA qualifications for free.

We offer this course for youth from our sites at Tauranga (CBD), Whakatane and Rotorua.

Enrol in our Hospitality Programme to:

  • Complete NCEA Level 2 Vocational Pathway – Service Industries
  • Learn food handling & food safety
  • Learn the Barista skills needed to make a great coffee
  • Get practical experience with on the job placements
  • Learn how to be a customer service star
  • Learn what skills, behaviours and attitudes employers need in th industry
  • Get a job or progress to the NZ Certificate in Food & Beverage Service (Level 3)

We are focused on school leavers who are aged 15 years to 19 years of age who want to plan a pathway to employment or higher training.

Are there any prerequisites?

Ideally you would have achieved your NCEA Level 1 or your Literacy & Numeracy credits for NCEA but we can discuss this at your interview.
